    Thanks for the information. I usualy make a dry run to the places I'm interested in just to check the area and facilities out.
    But this is a long trip, and if I go id be taking the boat along also. I'm aware its a large lake and aware also of what the wind
    can do on large bodies of water, which is what prompted my question. And I'm also aware of the limitations of an 81 year old. lol

    Well the biggest problem for me is the distance the parking area is from the ramp.
    That can be a deal breaker, and as a rule there are no shopping carts to lean on lol.

    Stop at Rickters bait shop and pick up a hand carved walking stick. They have some really nice ones.

    Thanks, I do have those, and also have found that the proper length ski poles work well also. But for me, nothing works like a shopping cart.
