I also caught and kept fifteen crappies but none were over eleven inches. Before I even got home to clean them, my brother called and asked me for the fish. Gone. Even tho I don't have any meat to show for the day in this heat, I still had a fun day. Headed to Linesville in the morning.
Linesville went very well. Me and a buddy fished five to eight foot water and C&R over three hundred fish in two days. They were ripping our bg baby shads to pieces. Almost every color we used put fish in the boat. So many ten to eleven inch black crappies, my arms got tired. Drifted bobbers with 1/16 oz heads and tightlined 1/8 oz heads with 1/4 oz weight above them. Too bad the launch area is shutting down now. Good luck if you make the trip up. Pandanaram launch is the only other launch I've used to get to the stump field and it took almost half an hour to get there with my heavy boat and twenty hp motor.
