The male crappie moved up on the bank sunday and everyone was catching them as it was 75 degrees. Its 35 deg right now so I would guess they went back to deep water. They will be back when the water stabilizes.

While I was mowin grass around the pond, I noticed quite a few big bream scouting out potential bedding areas along the shallow end. Its been warm for a few weeks now and I even seen some Mayfly adults emerging from the water. The pickle is that NC is gonna get cold starting today and it wont warm up until at least thursday. Will this front chase all the bream back deep or the theory once they are committed they gonna do it anyways? How long after a front does it take them to get back into the barry white mood? I got guests coming down Saturday and I told them I can put them on a bream bed![]()
Oh I could wrestle a monster fish

LMAO, I know what you mean. They are just now coming to the banks good here but the weather shoved them out. I hope the only whiplash they get is from me setting the hook.I was going trotlining this weekend but there is no way I can catch 200 bluegill in this weather.
I should have caught them sunday.
this screwey weather is not helping a thing here in NC...

Yeah, that's my guess too, they'll head out to deeper water.... BUT!, they'll be back.
yeah, they are starting to get shallow again!
