Nice fish sunbelt, that is a toad. The fishing is always better in that place when the water level is down.

Sunbelt sorry for the late response. Shallower than ever... In the last few days the water has risen considerably and I lost sight of some of my honey holes.

These were my best from Last year while bassfishing with a Baker suspending squarebill crank and Rapala Scatter Rap crank.
This year I want to target them specifically.
I did get my Citation Bluegill @11.5" and 1#2oz. Didnt have camera :(

I'm not really Sure little all I had was an old-fashioned spring scale and it was saying 2.5 pounds

Here is a 12" cracker I caught recently.
Sorry, after doing some checking I believe this is really a bluegill. No red on the ear flap. Any opinions?
I would say that is a shellcracker 100%. I caught many last year that had next to no red ear. Sometimes it was yellow and even white on some of the bigger fish. If I was never sure I would stick my finger down their throat and feel that big rough stone that they have for crushing shells.
Definitely a shellcracker.
7 1\2 inches or so & it was my first one caught this year. Rio Grande cichlid or Texas cichlid as there called in TX being that I live in Austin TX. Released back into the water to live another day!

12" Bruiser Bluegill....biggest I've seen caught with my own eyes. This is my brother's fish and he has huge hands. Well over a pound!
