    Default Small lake shellcrackers


    Had a great time today fishing from "waterwagon" on small lake. Caught about 12 shellcrackers 9.5 inches long. Most shellcrackers that I ever caught in one trip. They sure were pretty fighting them in the clear water. Used a 4wt fly rod and UL spinning rod with 2lb test. Small piece of crawler and no sinker on UL and popper/dropper on fly rod. Got some nice gills, small bass and few small crappie. I sure would like to catch some more crackers this month. Fun!

    Good looking fish! 2lb test? Crap I'd stay broke off most of the time!
