I did not catch many this morning but I thought this would be interesting.She was only 10 inche's and they are making a huge bed in my pond.It will be a few more day's and my time's a coming!I only threw in there one time and caught this one,I did'nt want to disturbe them and let them do their thing.After that look out lol!

No,I keep everything I catch.I dont fish for them very much until they have spawned and then try to wear them out.

My wife and I just got back from KY Lake an hour or so ago. We hammered the big bluegills in 6-8 feet of water on worms and jigs. We caught several female shellcrackers like you show that were about to bust. 2 of them went 1 1/2 pounds or better. We released all the redears to finish spawning and didn't take the camera for photos. The wife did end up with a bull bluegill ( over 10") that I'll mount for her to hang in her office. Guess it will end up being a belated Mother's Day present.
