    Elpatron,
I wasn't referring to your post either. You said you weighed yours. I just wished more people weighed their catch. Truth be known, most bluegill that are kept probably weigh 8 or 10 ounces. I've weighed a bunch. If I can get some time I will post a pic of a "true" 2 pound shellcracker. Although it is mounted, you can still see the size that the fish has. When they get that big, they are in a class of their own. Guys, I love bluegills and shellcrackers, post some more pics.

    Default Chatillon scales

    http://cgi.ebay.com/Chatillon-Model-...QQcmdZViewItem
Scales such as this one one ebay are very expensive and accurate scales. they come in all different weights. Im sure I have one that only goes up to 1# or 2#. All scales are said to be more accurate as they reach maximum in their range. With that said there was a 5# dig fish scale out years back that im sure would be fine. But one of these chatillon scales will neve need batteries and always work. Recently we had DFG on our day boat and they were weighing with a similar style scale. Mcmaster carr list them but $$$ they are listed under fish scales online page 1538

So it looks like the way to go is to get something that will measure in grams to use as a sort scale when tournement fishing

That Berkley FS15 looks nice but I dont think it will get the accurcy

I have fished in a couple where the money stops and the difference is .6 oz That said when culling fish it would be nice to make up that difference insteead of eyeballing

There are some cheap gram scales

Any one else have a suggestion ?

Berkely makes a $40 culling system with a scale that is accurate down to .25oz:

Aside that, a less expensive way to go, a pack of culling tags and a good culling beam will keep eyeball culling from hurting you at weigh-in.

That's right, about the culling beam...GRAVITY doesn't lie.
