Here is a dropper I use when fishing a popper for gills. This one is tied on a 10 sickle hook. I usually tie it on a 14 TMC for gills. Thought it would work with a jig and fly combo for crappie. Its a killer on gills and I have caught many trout and white bass on this fly popper combo. It dont look like much but pinch down the barb and fish it under a cork and kids will have a ball. You guys have helped me alot with great tips. Thanks! I hope you stick a few with these.

Is that the color you typically use? Any other favorites?

I'll put 'em to the test and report back.

IMO, one of the biggest charms of fly fishing for gills is that you don't need elaborate flies to be successful.
