I tip them with pieces of Berkley power wigglers or a live waxworm. Favorite jigs are tied with duck feathers or rabbit hair in hook sizes from a #10 to a #6. I tie a lot of jigs and these are my go to baits. Rarely use soft plastics. Attachment 510112Attachment 510113
His jigs catch fish no doubt I have and use them and they are DEFINATELY one of my hand tied favorites. But personaly have proven time and time that scents make a difference and my tried and true performer is a semi dried out crappie nibble. Scott

I Like the Hand tied Duck Jigs of JungleJimJigs Above, but when I'm using soft plastics I use Bobby Garlands Minnow imitations with the straight tails, and Tri-Colored 1-1/2" tube jigs in Black, Red Chartreuse as well as Black Red Pearl White. These are fished with 1/80th to 1/32 oz jigs. Lots of great advice here.
