Thread: Dock trip+ new cheap rod sliming

I went back to the docks for about forty minutes this afternoon.
I fished with my old St Croix 5’6” Avid ULF , paired with a Soare bb500spg and 2# Floroclear.
An olive 4mm , .5g streamer jig was my lure .
Several people at the docks today , most of my spots were taken or there were non fisher peoples too close to where I wanted to fish .
I got to fish one side on the docks , the short side , about 75-80’ of shoreline.
I managed to hook up with seven bluegills including few colored up ones . One was similar to one I caught yesterday . Definitely a hybrid .. nice colors .
Glad to see the gills moving back shallow .
BTW , I enjoyed fishing the SC Avid 5’6” . It has a fast enough tip , that’ll it’ll cast a light jig well and has a nice bend even with the little ones . Fun rod .
