After striking out yesterday on a 4+ hour boat trip to the local water reservoir, I got a chance to do a quick 30 minute trip to the Town Pond this evening.
I took my newest acquisition that arrived as I was loading up to leave .
I quickly slipped a Shimano Soare XR500sspg loaded with Daiwa J braid .
I got to slime my 5’6” Daiwa Presso and redeem myself for pitching a goose egg yesterday.
In the thirty minutes I caught two shellcrackers and a nice bluegill .
The rod was fun , with a lot of bend , especially in the top half .
Sensitivity was ok , nowhere near what the five foot, one piece version has .
I’d been looking for 5’6” one for awhile , they’re getting hard to find .
I was happy to find some panfish willing to play .
