    Default Quick trip w/short rod

I went shooting with my brother today and afterwards stopped and fished the lake for thirty minutes using my 4’6” Daiwa Trout X XUL ,paired with a Shimano Soare bb500spg , with a Nasci spool and handle , and 2# Floroclear.
The water was green with an algae bloom and they had just cut the grass and there was grass clippings on the water all along the shore .
I had set a timing for 30 minutes and got the skunk off at minute 28 .
I really thought I was going home without a catch .
