But I’ll get to that in a bit. My Granddaughter graduated a college course today and my Queen and I made all the ceremony and dinner after. A great day for all the family. Finished about 3ish and after a couple of things around the house I couldn’t stand it and hooked up for a short trip. No one else at the ramp after a storm had passed through. Just fooled around through the places I’d been over the weekend and was just enjoying the quiet of having the place virtually to myself. I thought a nice gill was going to be the first fish after the hit and the fight but this guy didn’t fit the bill, but he was very close in size at 8”.
It was after that nothings took a turn south and the undesirables showed up. This was a good fight. Not quite as big as some recent others but hard to get to the net.
The catfish was over 16” on the ruler but he wasn’t coming out of the net.
This next one was smaller but also tough to get a net on.
Then I got into some of the gills and swung through the crappie on the way to the ramp. The action was slower than usual but I was happy for it.
Then Chasers fan club showed up.
And it pained me to release these and this wasn’t all of em.
Back at the ramp at about 7 and ready for tomorrow. Ketchn would’ve been proud of my color choice for the Crappie. Orange/chartreuse was the winner. Til next time, hope y’all get out soon…..Skeet.
