You will not go wrong with either but I would pick the Blue Porter. I’m very familiar with Blue Current rods…..have owned 4 of them. Yamaga Blanks make fantastic rods. I think you will find the Blue Porter will give you an edge in sensitivity. Now you can get to splitting hairs there. The Blue Current is made in Japan. Carbon content plays a big role in the sensitivity…..and believe me with all else being equal…..they both have Fuji Sic S inserts with stainless frames….the Blue Porter will be the more sensitive.
