Definitely worth a try, CT. I fish really bad rock bottom areas and will be going back to the float technique I used some years ago. I have some of those real small thill ice fishing floats that can be used with regular wet flies. With shotting set it is like fishing shallow water with a fly rod, but easier and faster than my fly rod. You can cover a lot of water from the bank or wading. U/L eliminates a lot of casting issues.
