The Shakespeare micros would be a good,low cost way to get started in shooting. If you break one of those it doesn’t hurt too bad. My friends and I shot floating docks with 4lb hi vis mono. Got interesting a couple of times, like when my friend Fossil set the hook on a 5 1/2lb LMB on this one dock. He landed it too. It’s all about having the drag set right.
