Hopefully I can resolve this by then. I will give Plat until mid week next week and then I will go the PayPal route. I started to file a claim with PayPal this afternoon but decide to be a little more patient.

The Torzite guide that size is around 10-15 bucks. A good rod builder won’t take long to get the old one off and new one on. I would find a well known rod builder. If you want to keep the rod this is the route I would go. If you want your money back I would file a claim. I think part of the issue here is Plat has no more of those rods....and they are also out of production. If there are any on eBay they will be around $450. It’s a bad deal no doubt but I think your best bet...if you want to keep the rod is to have the new guide put on. The good side of that is since you have the rod you can wait to see how Plat...PayPal.....the post office...all work out.

Regards
