Hello, I'm new here and wanted to show some of the great blue gill that I have been catching at Lake Perris. I met lead head on the lake and he told me about this place. I have been seriously targeting blue gill for about 3 months now at Perris. I catch allot of bass as well but only by accident. I am using home made under spins in 1/16oz. and 1/32oz. on 2lb. Ande line. I use a 6ft. 11in. Phenix rod and a Shimono C14 1000 spinning reel. I hope to contribute to the site and meet some of you as well. Here are a few of the big copper nose that I have caught in the last few days since Thanksgiving.![]()
Welcome Prankster. I look forward to your posts. Those are some real nice gills. Any like that are scarce down here.

Welcome prankster. Looks like you been tearing them up in the backside.
You forgot to mention that you don't use bait with your homemade jigs.
We'll have to get together one day to do some pouring - you can check
out some of my custom molds....

Welcome Prankster! Those are studs right there. Wish we had that size fish here in TN. I've only caught 2 bluegill this year over 10" and I (jig) fish for them a lot! You guys are blessed to have that caliber of fish available in public waters.
Wear em out! I will be watching for your posts and pics.
