You mean these?
That's the Dodger Disc. It makes the lure swim in an erratic motion. I'm now incorporating a rattle in the underbody so they'll give off even more vibration. I've even cast it with a fly rod okay.
Working on a leech pattern based on the same idea to be tipped with black soldier fly larvae or worms or even minnows or something.
If you want I'm make a couple and mail them out to you to try.
Thanks for the added info. Thanks for the offer but I can see in the close up how it's made. That is the first time I've seen that type set up . There is a lot going on with that jig.
Thanks for sharing the video, if I can't go fishing at least I can pretend I'm in the boat with ya![]()
Sometime that's all you can do. I think that's why I make tackle: It gives me something to do while waiting for the season to start again.
Yeah, there is a lot going on with it. The beads and eyes act as a rattle, the disc gives it motion, the stinger hook get the short striking fish, the pearlescent flash simulates scales, red simulates bleeding, the yellow/white is highly visible.
Above all that I often tip it with a nightcrawler, lol. If they don't hit it, they just ain't biting.
