nl - Thnx & yep been tying since the early 80s.
helthnspector - the band is high lighted scales, characteristic of the Coppernose sup species of the Bluegill. Probably should be called the Copperhead Bluegill. The ones that were stocked in LP came from Florida.
LP fish have a lot of food to eat, all year long. Numerous bug hatches, shad & smelt baitfish, and clams & snails. Have heard rumors they have found the Quagga mussel now...
