    Technically, it's almost a fly rod, since the rod was made on a fly rod blank. I caught it on my main bluegill rod, which is an 8' spinning rod made on a Lamiglas fiberglass 5-weight fly rod blank ( made with spinning guides and handle), with a live red wiggler on a 1/64-oz. jig head about four feet below a Gapen panfish float (super sensitive).

    Neither - it's a hybrid bluegill, a cross between a bluegill and a green sunfish.
