Thanks for the info. I thought they might be 'gills but wanted to be sure they weren't some variation I was unaware of. I thought that might be a white perch by the shape but I've never caught one. The dark ones I got in to this spring were big, around a pound and a bit for the most part according to my partners digital scale. Thanks again for the clarification. Ken
