Default Summer bank fishing with crickets

For the past week we've been tearing them up in 6ft of water under brush with crickets. Shybite bobbers have really been helping bringing them in as well. We caught alot of gills between 7-9 inches long and very big shad. We also caught a huge bass which was a big bonus. My girlfriend even hooked a water turtle somwhat in the shell but we let him go. Pictures of all the fish we've been catching will be posted soon. Hope everyone's enjoying their summer fishing!

Thanks for the post, been wanting to go after them myself. Jimmy Holt from the old Tenn. Outdoorsman Show used to take a slingshot and shoot rocks into the trees to dislodge mayflies when they were hatching. Said it always got the bluegill to start hitting again.

Reminds me of being a kid, catching grasshoppers everytime I get out there when I'm using crickets, a lot of fun on those old farm ponds :D
