With 74* surface temps the Crappie should be tearing it up! The surface temps here in central 'Bama are in the low 90's now, we won't see anything below that until October!

I believe you are right. Unfortunately there are no crappie in that pond. It is the size of a good sized farm pond. I am going up to Lake Skinner this week. I have a chance at a 1lb bluegill or a 2lb crappie in that lake.

What size snap bean as you better have some light light tackle/4lb test and iam not fimillar with the pound is there grass weed's how deep!
With a snap bean the only way i could make them happen on a bad day was to put a small split shot on and get them down deeper and when the bite was slow i incorperated a lil. bass fishing technq. as iffen the they dont want it moveing in (shallow) water stop the retrieve with a clear cork,as it is a crank bait and the one's i use are small at that!
Iffen you use the stop and go retrieve hang a waxie or a nibble on the treble hook as long as it will stay! I have to figure out how to put pic's on here as my honey has put a new kodak printer and i cannot with help figure out the picture thing !
