Even though the Garmin is powered separate from the TM. I do get electrical interference when the TM is running. I can still read the screen, but it's not as clear. The Panoptix is nice and helps maintain location of what I'm trying to fish and has shown me stumps and other structure in the area I'm fishing. I've seen my bait on it and fish come to inspect it but still haven't seen the fish take the bait. The side scan has helped me the most as far as locating structure from the front. I left my old Lowrance up front as well to keep a Map and 2D going which I used to use (still do) to confir structure under the front of boat.

The Panoptix is basically a 2d LIVE view of what's in front of the trolling motor and refreshes 5 times a second. It helps a lot and think it would be great to stay on a school of Crappie chasing a Shad ball. I prefer to use it to hunt blobs. Those blobs that show up that stick up about 2-3' off the bottom can sometimes hold a fish. The Panoptix is neat, but it hasn't put me on a bite of 200 fish.
I only used the PS22 a couple of times. Like you, I was able to see my bait on blobs that came to check my bait out but never watched one take the bait. The Panoptix was great for knowing exactly where the brush was at all times and even finding small structure I might have missed otherwise. I sold the Panoptix prematurely when I thought I was going to get a LiveScope. Wish I would have kept it until I had the LiveScope installed.
