Attachment 297967. Lake is down to 1008.50 so they are going to drop it another 6 inches to clean out coon creek cove. Water temp was up to 53 deg yesterday so it jumped up 6 deg with the warmer weather. A lot of spawning areas will be dry this year so going to move the fish out a little deeper. Don’t think the low water level will hurt anything just gonna have to adjust. Think when they get the lake down and it stabilizes a few days fishing should pick up. Should have it down by tomorrow evening at the current release rate

Found out today they may take the lake down to 1007 because OGE needs the water in Sooner. They are planning to close Washunga ramp also due to low water so I would check ahead. Pretty rough unloading at Sarge and Pioneer with a 40 mph south to southwest wind.
A little off topic, Tim, but when they do this, is there a decent volume coming out of the dam? I'm asking because with the on-going teacher walkouts combined with these crazy winds, I'd like to introduce some of my kiddos to paddlefish. Last time I went below the dam, the water wasn't flowing, and all I did was donate some tackle to the debris. If there's a way to determine if the Corps is running water, I haven't found it.

Daily Report of Reservoir Conditions
I download a free app on my cell phone. The app is USACE - Tulsa. It has every corps lake in the state. It gives you current lake elevations and expected daily releases. I also download the same app for Arkansas - USACE- Little Rock and it lists all the Arkansas corps lakes. You can download any state you may be planning to fish. It's so steep, we have had to pull 2WD vehicles with big boats off the ramp with our vehicles to clear it so we could launch.
I hope they work on it as well, but suspect they have it for a later project.
They may be doing both of them Kenny I will find out. They are still using Washunga ramp but I look for them to barricade it any day. I did find out they are going to drop the lake until next Thursday. If they do, at the current release rate, it will be down to 1006. 8 or 1007. It is dropping 2 inches a day right now. They are hanging up trailers at Pioneer to. If you use that ramp stay on the west or dock side. At Sarge, use the north ramp or dock side ramp. There is a big rock on the south ramp just under the water that will eat your prop when the lake is down or worse bend your prop shaft if you hit it going in reverse. They are supposed to start on coon ramp Monday.
Looks like fall when they draw down to plant millet. I guess they won't do it anymore for the millet us duck hunters miss that. I sure would like for the wind to lay.
