Nice shots Dennis...
Not a big fan of jug lines and never will be but had a bunch of relatives camping over Labor Day weekend that wanted to learn how to set them. I kind of took for granted after fishing for over 50 years how everything gets routine and that's when bad things happen. Just to let you know, a 9/0 circle hook can do a lot of damage. The fish in the photo my cousin is holding pulled the line out of my hand and the result is not good. It will take a long time to get the finger working right again. Older I get the less I pay attention. I will also carry a special set of cutters in my boat that is capable of cutting those big hooks. Normal side cutters wouldn't even dent them. I normally let these bigger fish go but this one is now in the freezer
:yikes YEEOOW! And I know how much 'little' books hurt! My depends would of been soaked!😂<*)}}}><
Made my feet tingle and sent shivers up my spine! I've cut a few bigguns out of me over the years but never one near that big. Get well soon, Tim!
Damn!

Geez, Tim. That's the worst one I've ever seen. Heal up soon.
Sorry about that hook Tim! Yikes

YOWZER TIM!!! That hurts just looking at it! Take care of that and don't let it get infected, buddy.
Wow Tim sorry to see that take care of that and treat it right so you can get back out there...
Ouch! That had to hurt. You bring up a good point not about having some quality wire cutters in the boat for just this incident. The tempered steel and stainless hooks out there now don’t cut easy like you said.
I’ve got some old, big circle hooks in the shop. Going to test my stash of cutters and make sure some are in the boat.
Your hook up makes me almost embarrassed to post mine from Eagle Nest Lake in New Mexico last month.
