Right now the bite on the south end is shallow sloping banks, points, and secondary points with chunk rock and bolders. The bite is in 7' to 9' and you have to dig them out of the rocks. You may or may not see the crappie in numbers since they are dug in. You will need to keep your jig in contact with the bottom and touching the rocks. You will see the bait fish and the crappie will be there. We fished around the rain storm Saturday and kept 78 in 5 hrs catching over 150. Again the bite is from 9A bridge all the way to the mouth of Gaines Creek. Our technique was double dipping 2 jigs, bottom 1/4oz Fle Fly Big Eye, top a 1/8oz Fle Fly Big Eye, Fle Fly 3" Crappie Kickers in Pumpkin/Chartreuse and Black/Chartreuse on Huckabee Pro Series Rods. Hope this helps KingRanch..........Ranger
