I've always heard lake eucha. Seen lots of older folks in pontoons with baskets of them hanging off the side in yrs past.

I know this is a crappie thread and I don't mean to hi-jack it by discussing other fish, but I love to catch and eat bluegills. I'm curious if anyone knows of any good bluegill lakes in the State. Thanks in advance.

Beggs city lake has some big Ol blugill. West shore with any small popper . I use a Beatle imitation on a fly rod.
Lone Chimney just south of Pawnee stocks hybrid bluegill. As big as Fishers hand I kid you not! Water level up there I hear is pretty low
American horse now that is open! Cricket George should know
Pawhuska city lake has big bluegill and some giant redear, possibly hybrid bluegill as well, its a small lake you cant run big engines on it but its a super clear awesome lake. since its so clear it has a lot of moss and weeds growing up to the surface in the summer.
Birch lake outside Barnsdall.

Get in touch with some land owners and ask permission to fish their ponds. Farm ponds hold some monster bluegill. These are not monsters, but all taken last week out of farm ponds. this is just some of them. We cleaned prob 80 more then what is pictured. They sure do taste good.

Swollen, those are nice fish in anyone's book. Thanks for posting and thanks to everyone else for pointing me toward finding some of these guys. I love to fish for "bream" with a fly rod and I will surely give those places a shot.
American Horse does have some really large bluegill and redear.
