    Default which lake?


    Im just a kansas newbie here. Like fishing for crappie and blues and flatheads. I don't know either lake but would like to learn one of these lakes. Which one would yourate better Kaw or oolagaha?

    I hear of good blues at Oolagah. Heard there are monsters at keystone too.

    Both are great lakes. Kaw lake has a great population of large crappie and huge Blue cats and flat heads. What lake is closer to you? Shoot...try both lakes. See what one you like better. Kaw is easy to fish and navigate if in a boat. Heard oologah can be horrible if wind is blowing.

    If the wind is up on Oolagah be prepared. We were out there a couple of months ago and the wind came up on us. We ended up fighting 4 foot waves to get back to the ramp. That lake can be really bad when the wind is up. ALWAYS wear a PFD on that lake in a boat.
