wow nobody? lol guess im the only one. FYI if anyone does bank fish cotton creek bridges the state has posted 'No parking on right of way" signs on both the north and south bound lanes and in the middle of both medians. which to me doesn't seem right to block the public lands below the bridges.

They are not blocking the land. It simply means you cannot park on the bridges. If you want to fish, you'll have to park elsewhere and hoof it to the land below the bridge. Good luck! I don't even know where Copan lake is.

Copan has been a tough lake to fish the last year. The fish have to still be there, but seem hard to get on a hook. I catch a fair amount fishing the standing timber along the river channel in the hot summer time. As the fish start moving up shallow, Andicot pond is a great place on the west side. If water ever starts to flow, The horn that runs under the road north west of the dam is great also.
Fishing below the dam while water is running is also productive. Black/Pink has been the copan go-to color for me.
The cotton creek bridge signs are unfortunate, but i can not believe that they have not done it sooner. You can still pull down the old road on the east side of the ditch and park. It will be crowded if the usual spawn crowd comes though.

reaper copan is north of bartlesville close to the kansas border. and thanks ledge ill look into those spots. ive fished cotton creek bridges since i was 7 just sad that they couldnt find a better solution. im not looking forward to trying to fish there once the spawn is on. ive already scouted the north old highway and its a nice little walk lol but its good fishing down there. ive heard of Andicot pond but dont know exactly how to get there.

Endecots pond is due West of the Washington Cove boat ramp. It's behind a cut pond dyke and watch the depth as you go in. just inside the old dam, make a quick left to stay out of shallow water. The bank straight ahead is usually good an dout of reach for the bank walkers.

Before going in, the bank on the left on the outside of the dyke is pretty good sometimes, nearest the dyke.

The next cove south goes up to a small creek with a little standing timber, I caught a couple of limits there last year and saw several bank fishermen with big stringers too.

The cove where the boat ramp is is sometimes pretty good, nice depth and some old timber, lots of rocks.

Go out straight west from the boat ramp to the main lake but follow the left shoreline and you will come to another nice old pond with a cut bank you can get throughif the water is up to normal but it's tight. Just inside the west bank has some good cover and I've caught a lot of big crappie there.

There are a lot of good places these will give you an idea of what they like and hold to. Spider rigging the dam riprap would also likely be good at different times but I haven't tried it, just heard others talk about it.

Good luck and happy fishing .... I likved in Bartlesville for a couple of years and worked there for 6 so this was my easy lake to fish for my short trips.

Another good place is East of Nowata and then back north, called Big Creek and goes into the verdigris river a couple of hundred yards downstream from the boat ramp.
Not many crappie fishermen but lots of Crappie. Go out to the Verdigris and fish the West bank where you find the lay downs, early it's better up in the creek.

Big sandbass also in the verdigris north of the big creek mouth about 3 miles, just past the Hwy 28 bridge and at the bend and East a little.

Welcome brother, this should keep you busy exploring for a while. Good luck!

Glad to help a brother Crappie eater out Krazybear.
There is a small creek and cove about 1/4 mile South of Endecots pond on the same (west) side of the lake. It warms up faster and has better structure. Less fishing pressure too.
Watch for snakes a little later in there it's woodsie. Iv'e caught a lot of fish there, good place to use a long pole too for jigging or generally reaching good timber.
