Copan has been a tough lake to fish the last year. The fish have to still be there, but seem hard to get on a hook. I catch a fair amount fishing the standing timber along the river channel in the hot summer time. As the fish start moving up shallow, Andicot pond is a great place on the west side. If water ever starts to flow, The horn that runs under the road north west of the dam is great also.
Fishing below the dam while water is running is also productive. Black/Pink has been the copan go-to color for me.
The cotton creek bridge signs are unfortunate, but i can not believe that they have not done it sooner. You can still pull down the old road on the east side of the ditch and park. It will be crowded if the usual spawn crowd comes though.
