Water will be muddy and my guess will cool down. Will this send them back into deeper water? Will spider rigging work or do they just shut down until everything stabilizes? I have been fishing Eufaula and have been catching them shallow. What's everyones guess on where and how to fish?

Will the crappie move to the closest deep water from where I was catching them spawning? I read where EB said he caught them in 8' of water on brush. Won't that same water be 12' deep now?
My experience, they will maintain the 8' as the water rises, moving with the rise, once the water stabilizes, the temp starts climbing, they'll go ahead and move into some new spawning areas. Buckbrush should hold some, but, they will be much more spread out than normal.

When the water rises the fish tend to move up and into the newly covered brush. I still tarket the same type of areas as always, creek channel edges, ledges, ditches, drop offs that have newly covered brush on them. That's been my experience. Good luck and be careful there can be a lot of big floating debris in the water.
shallow didnt work for me today..might be my jig floated and couldnt get thru the thick mud..lol..the fish I caught were in 15' to 18' of water and at 13' deep.. holding over structure..and they wanted it laying there..hit a limb hold it still..worked for me

Will they fan out or school back up?
well the weather and water stabalized Saturday and I found a few really nice ones on the rip rap. W doodlesocked some of the flooded buckbrush wih no luck, so i decided to go ahead and spider rig. Caught them in 7 feet of water. Females were full of eggs and males hadn't done their thing yet so hopefully we still have some fun in front of us.
