I live a little further south on 97 in Sapulpa but I'm always up for fishing. How is the fishing up there in Skiatook? I ain't made it that far north yet.

Anyone fish Turkey creek much on Skiatook lake?
Turkey creek is about the only place I fish now for crappie being it's been productive for me over the years.
Enjoy night fishing during spring right through summer on Skiatook lake!!
I'm in Prattville off 51st n 97 highway, any crappie slayers live nearby give me a holler sometime and we will set up a fishing trip and wet a hook.

I used to fish Skiatook a lot when it first opened up. Turkey Creek was very good for Black Crappie and so was Cedar Creek.
Never fished Cedar creek before,is it the cove North of highway 20 bridge ?
Turkey creek is still good for crappie if a guy has a good locator,do all my crappie fishing at night on Skiatook, thinking about leasing a boat slip at Crystal Bay for I can access their boat ramp, hate leaving my new truck parked at Osage Point at night.
I don't do the trout fishing but chances are if your around Sahoma much at all you've at least seen my truck It's a teal Ranger ex cab with black accents (bed rails, toolbox, headlights, etc).

Thanks for the info Bigmarv58,will give it a try when spawning season starts in 2011, looks good for crappie, just nevet got around to fishing it!
Is the lake still full of standing trees in the creeks? I've not fished Skiatook since 1993.
"Yes,especially Turkey Creek, I have fished the majority of trees in Turkey Creek over the years and have only found a handfull that hold crappie most of the year, usually I keep can feeders in these locations filled with rabbit pellets during fishing season!
