CJ, I have a small rod with that type handle. If you want to see how it works, I'm going to TBird tomorrow, (Wed.) , when I get thru with work around 2pm.
Everyone has a secret talent they didn't know about until tequila.

I have another order of them coming now. But I wanted to try one out before getting too carried away, and I can testify after cutting the gimbal butt off the end of the blank it was hard to cut through with my Dremmel tool!!! There's no way I could order the blank and guides {12} and build that length rod for $50.00 bucks.

Thanks for the feedback Josh, that's about all we run on our rods as well. On that rod you probably should run a 11" or 12" grip to get your balance. I can convert it for $25.00 and that rod will fish way better for ya.

I use Wally Marshall Series Rods from BPS...have had very good luck with them both trolling/spider riggin and jigging. Lots of backbone, pulling in a 12lb blue cat with my 14 footer no problem.
I fear no fish
