I remember a year like E.B.'s story, The lake was high all year and finding them in annual spawning area's was next to impossible. We cork/jigged the rip-rap and ripped them good. Then later in May until June we started catfishing the rip-rap and were still catching crappie! Sometimes you just have to fish outside the box.

Now that's what I'm sayin', watching that big black angry bastage come out form under the thick brush and tryin' to get back in.

MRB, have I had the pleasure of your acquaintance? You didn't by any chance fish the upper Deep Fork a week ago last Sunday did you?

Oh, and yes, I've fished with EB before. I was going to promise to smoke a brisket for him if he would help me set my duck boat up for spider rigging.

Did you start fishing early and they moved up on the banks late? I see your 1:00 first fish and was just wondering?
I think the problem was it took me that long to find the fish that had not been pulled off the bank from the falling water they were not really bunched up anywhere that i found i would maybe catch 15 or 20 fish in each spot really had to fish sloooooowly just to get em to bite... what do you fish ouy of maybe i'll see you down there one day i fish down there quit a bit

    Default Slabman

I talked to Slabman last week, he sounded good but still not able to get around until they get that knee replaced. They plan on trying the knee replacement this summer. I saw Dumbo down on the creek catching a few out of the buckbrush and he was real sad catching those fish without slab by his side! EB

I kept 16 keepers yesterday evening here in Longtown, Cork/jiggin 6' fow. set @ 2' off a point and blacks mixed with whites. No biggies just good eating size crappie. I'm shooting a video....when Josh fiishes the edits I'll post it on this board and our website.

Because smoke in a post earlier said he was going to smoke EB a brisket for rigging him up for Spiderrigging. I told him if he wanted any tips there that I would give him some. That I had learned from one of the best BBQ teams in the world Head Country.

    Default getting off the subject

I too have been guilty of getting off the subject in the past and may again. But for the sake of everyone please try to keep to the subject listed in the topic. I will try to do the same. It is frustrating to get on here expecting to read about the topic you clicked on and it be off on a rabbitt trail. No hard feelings to anyone, like I said I have been guilty also. Thanks for the cooperation.
