Overall I caught less crappie last year but the size was much better than in the previous couple of years. Been getting the boat ready the last couple days so on my next days off its off to Tbird!

Me too. I had a day last April when my 24 fish basket came in just OVER 40 lbs! I had never averaged over 1 lb per fish at t-bird before. Had 3 fish flirtin' with 2 lb in one day!

Yeah that was me and my wife’s dad. I appreciate all the information you gave us. I have only owned that boat for a year so we are still getting used to the lake and fishing from the boat. We did good on crappie last year in April and May but this cold weather fishing has been a challenge. We are going to try for some saugeyes the way you told us to and I will let you know if we get into any.
