It really looks good Stink. You got something to be proud of. I like doing remodel jobs around my house and it feels real good when you get them finished and you can step back and say I did it myself. Enjoyed the pics.

I was curious to how many leaves were left on the trees last November and when I saw this picture, I realized how far I have come on this project. I can't imagine being at that spot now with all the work still to come when this picture was made. I'm too old for this and was too old when I started. But one thing about it, I won't be getting any younger and you can bet your britches I won't ever do this again. I've built several houses during my life but this is absolutely the last one.

Here's basically the same shot made today for comparison to the picture taken in November of last year.
Looks GREAT, Stink. Proud for you!!
hey Stink..got a place I can put my air mattress?
Very Nice !!!!!!

I finished out the east wall just a little while ago; Installed the kitchen window, trimmed it out and trimmed out the bathroom window (it had been installed earlier, but never trimmed out.
So, now (3) sides of the exterior is finished. I can focus on the front of the house where I need to install the soffit up under the porch roof and then trim out the entry door, the sliding glass patio door, and the picture window.
I'll be installing an ceiling fan and two flood lights beneath ther front porch. Ceiling fan will be on the south end right where you come out of the patio door and the flood lights will be on either end just up under the roof ledge.
I'm actually running a little ahead of schedule on my latest work. I was figuring towards the end of October to be completely finished outside, but looks like it may be sooner than that. I just want it all done before it turns cold. I don't mind the cold weather, but the stuff that comes with it (sleet, snow, ice.......etc...) really impedes working outside.
Anyway, thanks for looking and I appreciate your feedback, thanks again.:)
I had to delete this once and start all over, it kept throwing up pictures I had intended on omitting, sorry.
I'm putting up the soffit beneath the porch/deck and I'm almost finished. The picture shows the North end and there is a narrow piece for the end, then narrow strips that go all along the West side beside the header.

The narrow strip along the West side will have cut-outs for the vents and should go pretty fast. Once all this soffit is finished, I can pull down scaffolding and I'll get some pics later on showing the exterior of the cabin totally finished.
Thanks for looking.:)
Here's a picture with all the scaffolding;

Hard to see the cabin for the scaffolding, lol. I'm anxious to get it down after finishing the exterior. Although I enjoy the cooler weather, been waiting on this nice weather all summer, now I am staying busy trying to get everything done on the outside before bad weather hits this winter.
Shouldn't be a problem, I will be finished with the exterior no later than the end of this week. I've still got some work to do on the deck\ramp but that won't take too long.
Few water lines to winterize, little of this and that, and my outside work will be totally done.
Interior work is 90% done, still need to trim out some interior doors, build some shelves, lay the flooring, and get the kitchen cabinets installed.
My overall plan is to be finished by mid-November. I think I can get it done sooner, so wish me luck.:)
