My son and I drowned a few minnows Saturday from the bank. Fished Winganon area and Vada Point. Mostly females for a change. All came from 2 to 5 ft. Couple had eggs ready to dump, most not quite ready. Probably at least a week.

Finally made it back to my "home lake" (seems like I have fished at Oologah only a couple times in the past month or so). A friend and I went out early evening yesterday and fished in the Will Rogers area to get out of the wind. We couldn't find any that were willing to bite. We then left Will Rogers and tried some other areas towards the dam and found a few good piles with active fish. We did pretty well. Tried several colors and types of jigs. The best by far was a large (3") shad (i.e. Large Stinger or Slim Stick) in monkey milk. We ended up with eleven fish, all keepers (didn't catch a single dink) in 2.5 hrs of fishing (6pm to 8:30pm). We did the best on a pile that was in about 12 FOW, with the top of the brush being about 5'. They were right at the top of the pile. We caught four that were 13+ inches. We released all of the fish. Fun quick trip.

Fished oolagah on Friday afternoon. Ended up with 44 total. A lot of dinks only 25 over 10 inches. Fished Sunday morning only caught 10 all were released. I thought maybe the cold front had them scattered but more than likely I just didn't know where to catch them.

Fished Fri. evening for about 2 hours before dark and managed to get a dozen decent fish. Minnows about 2'. All but one were females with eggs not ready yet. Next weekends full moon should be good.

Went for about 30 minutes and then the rain. Mostly just a bump back to the top.
