Went to the lake to mainly test and get use to the Xi5 and new HDS 7T. Really liking the Xi5, had to play with it a little to learn how it anchors. Think it's gonna be great fishing brush piles and stumps. Got to work on the transducer mount for the regular sonar.

Did catch one fat 13" crappie on a red/chart jig in a creek, but really didn't fish much.

They'll run up Big creek. There is a boat launch up there as well.

I was able to take my dad's buddy cat huntn yesterday. I have been waiting on a calm day, as he a little trouble with his get along. We fished until 1. We had 45 fish in the LW and 51 fish hit the deck! My dad and I was able to run a full service for him, he only had to set and crank! He said,"a guy can not even get a rest"! He had the best time!

Thanks Josh for setting things straight! I figured something like this and glad you gave me a call. Take care of your new bride and come go catch a Crappie with me sometime!

Got a chance to go yesterday with my buddies Dudley and Danny. We tried some of the deeper spots where we'd been catching some fish and didn't do any good. Headed further back into the creek where the water temp was a couple of degrees warmer and got bit right off the bat. The warmest water temp we found was 58 degrees. Ended the day with 28 keepers and threw back anther 20 dinks. Most of the fish were males. The pattern was staying in 17 feet of water and double dippin jigs a couple of feet off bottom. We caught some fish casting jigs too. Black hair jigs still out performed plastics.
