Went out this afternoon with one of my sons and had a pretty good afternoon. We caught some pretty good fish and lost the biggest one of the day. Swung the big female into the boat and misjudged her size and she hit the side of the boat. Tried to lift her in the boat with the line and my 8 lb test broke. Must of had a frayed spot in my line, looked like she'd go around 2 lbs. Several of the fish we caught today were a little over 14 inches and full of eggs. Sure had a good time with my son, he'd never been out in my boat with me. Only had one regret, he let one of my favorite rods go in the lake. Oh well, I guess he knows what to get me for my birthday.
