Thanks for the reports. Just got my boat/trailer back from Shoreline Boat repair. They did great work matching the trailer to the boat. Bunks are now welded in place and at the proper height. Don't have to worry about them moving around on me now. Ready to get back on the water.
Is the Talala creek ramp still out of the water? Can we launch there ok?
Thanks again

Reaper, Where Fish come to Fry
The other thread is closed so here is a new one to get us going.
The bite has been great at Oologah the last few days. I've been fishing lay downs and brush piles in the Blue Creek area. We've cleaned over 100 keepers from our last 3 trips. Many fish over 12"and a couple over 14".
Pink colors seem to be working the best, although I haven't really tried many other colors because of the stellar production. (elec chkn, blk gum, hot lips, etc. all baby shad).
Happy Fishing!
**mods** feel free to merge this with the other thread if its is reopened.
Pictures???????????

I need to remember to snap a couple photos next time I go out. I wouldn't believe my report without pictures, either. It has been the best fishing I've ever experienced.
Sounds like I need to get on the water!
My buddy Dudley and I went out today from 12:00 to 4:00 and caught 35 keepers. We caught 30 or 40 throwbacks too. We used minnows and jigs, but the jigs outproduced the minnows today. We fished brush piles in 17-18 FOW. It was cold, but it didn't seem so bad with the crappie biting so well. The best jig today was a 1/16 or 1/8oz pink head with Bobby Garlands baby shad in licorice. Here's our pictures worth a thousand words.![]()
Nice job Kevin! Looks like a great day on the water.
I made it out on the water today about 11 and fished until 2, I kept my limit. Probably threw back 40 or more short fish
. The fish were in 17-25 fow on ledges and brush. At first they were right on bottom but when the sun popped out they moved up to 12-14 supended over brush in 17-22 fow. I used my standard set up, (2) 1/8 oz jigs about 16 inches apart. I had a blk/char beavertail on bottom with a blk head and a BG baby shad in electric chicken with a pink head on top. The weather was cold but I never noticed it, the bite was so fast:D. I will post pics later.

I about forgot to take a picture and had cleaned over half of the fish, but here are some of them before I introduced them to the knife.
Here is the biggest one 14 inches and 1 lb 12 ozs.
