Took a vacation day today with my fishin buddy. The weather was fantastic today and the fishin wasn't bad either. The crappie were harder to catch today, we had to fish in the thickest portions of the brush piles to get bit. The tackle companies will be happy, we broke off a bunch of times. Lost quite a few good fish too, we just couldn't get em out of the brush. We ended the day with 42 keepers over 10 inches and a few over 14 inches. Seemed like we threw back dozens of 8 & 9" fish too. We fished brush piles in 15 to 17ft, using jigs and minnows. The wind was ENE and the water temp was 67 degrees around 10:00 in the morning. Sure was a fun vacation day.
