There the same ones that told us for six months that the virus did not happen at Grand...until all the fish started floating, or you could see them laying on the bottom of the lake.

I've never seen fish with this virus, that I know of. But last week in Longtown I seen a Bass next to the courtesy dock that really looked weird. He was sitting in about a foot of water and acted pretty much normal except he looked like he was covered with barnacles. From head to tail in quartwe sized round growths on him. could this be from the virus?

I see this on sand bass while fishing the dock at hawthorn 2 weekends ago. I didn't know what it was. There were several of the sandies running about 6inches deep with this crap on them. I have no idea what it is.
    I fear no fish

This would be a good question for Cricket George to ponder with all the friends he has in the industry. What about it George?

I am on it. I will report back later today. I suspect a parasite. I have seen this before in bluegill, bass and a few crappie.

I have checked with ODWC office over Oolagah and they concur that the concern is a parasite. I have 1 more person to check with and will report back.

I too noticed a couple Sand Bass that looked sickly last Friday. Hasn't seem to affected any Crappie though...we caught close to 20 keepers and they were all healthy.
