I forgot to mention I caught a "slime giant" at Kaw last trip. I dont know the weight because I didnt keep it (one would need a live well like ledge). Its head was the size of a soccer ball and it was well over 3 feet long. Caught on a straight jig, no minnow. It was either a channel or a blue, I cant tell the difference.
Fishers the soccer ball your talking about is that the size of your head swelling from chillers comment or the size of the slimy cats head.....lol...Ranger
Soccer balls come in all sizes! :)
Yeah, ... maybe.
probably a blue if it came from Kaw
Anyone been up to Spencer Creek ? How are they biting ? My favorite bank fishing spot.
I haven't been able to go this year so far, but trying to make time for it.
Fished Saturday caught 50, but only had 2 over 10 inches. Really good bite just no size. Been fishin the south end tryin to stay where the water color isn't terrible. Fished some new spots I haven't fished before. I did lose one big fish early, but thought it might be a walleye. Thought I saw one surface near by. Caught those 8 or 9 inchers casting a jig and some on minnows too. Black and chartreuse, and orange and chartreuse in 12 ft or less. I did catch one pole bender, a 5lb drum. I guess when you fish the south end don't be surprised when things go south. As always Oologah will be the last lake the corp will let water out of. They always hold Oologah back so they can let water out everywhere else. 12ft up and rising, it's gonna be a while before things get back to normal, and more rains in the forecast.
I wasn't that long ago that are choices on where to launch were limited by low water. Soon it will be the same because of high water. The Big O strikes again!
