Snapper; For this tecnique just work a jig on 1' of line or less around the banks in any brush you can find. Wading only increases your range, plus allows you to access areas a boat cant get to. If you do it on Eufaula better spool some Power Pro......you will need it.

Slow fishing for sure everyone I talked to yesterday over here said the same thing bank or boats, I'm pretty sure the lake dropping down around 2' is worse than post cold front conditions!

Can't question eye witness accounts about the lake dropping but what is a guy supposed to do when the corp website says it's only dropping a little over a period of days? The site says it is dropping slowly but other than asking you guys that live on the lake and fish it every day that is my only source of info. I monitor the corp pages for Oologah, Hudson, Grand, and Eufaula every day. Some older guys at church this morning were telling my Dad that there is no way that Oologah is up 3 and a 1/2 feet yet that is what the corp page says.?????

    Default Eufaula

Fished Crowder Yesterday morning and caught around 40 crappie. Kept 15 keepers. Landed a two pound 15" slab. This was actually the first fish caught. If I would have let this one get away, I would have had nightmares... Will post pic soon.

    Default Report 4-11-2009

Hey guys, I fished yesterday from 2-6 and had 63 keepers!!! We had several fish over 1lb and 6 over 1.5lbs males and females! We caught them spider-rigging minnows in 6ft of water fishing 4ft deep. The water temp was 57-61 degrees. Everywhere we seen shad flippin the bite was none stop! We must have lost about 20 more! There was several people fishing the bank but I only seen them catch a few. We were also using the capps and coleman rig this allowed us to fish a little shallower. My buddy was in another boat in the same area and caught 49 keepers. Except they were dragging corks with minnow tipped jigs. They had some big fish as well. Good fishing! EB

I wasn't fishing yesterday but my brother was and if he listens to me when he comes down he usaully puts fish in the livewell. They fished from 2-dark yesterday and kept 57. Spider-rigging minnows and minnow tipped jigs 4ft in 6-8ft of water. They had several 1.5lb fish and a couple just at 2lbs and he said they lost about 40 right at the boat. Then they went last night and caught about 30 keepers off of the bank!! Good Fishing. EB
