In the Gentry Creek area, I would go west up the lake and dip the timber. Motor carefully, though
thanks for the info! Will have to give a try.

    Default Recent Report

Hello is has been a while since I have posted. I am not the computer much in the summer. The last few trips that I have had we have been averging about 50 keepers. We are catching fish in the timber in 4-8 ft of water. We are dippin beaver-tails with a 5/32 crappie pro head. The head that crappie pro has designed fits this bait perfect and the rate of fall triggers strikes often. There was also a may-fly hatch in the last two weeks and when the wind would blow which wasn't often we could slowly go along the rip-rap Huckabee style and catch good fish that way. The water has about 4-6inch visibility right now in places and in the clearer parts you are probaly going catch fish much deeper. The therma-cline in the lake seems to be around 20 ft down. I have several dates open in the next few days if anypne is interested! Call me @ 918-617-0362 Brian

    Default Fishing report

In the last couple of weeks the fishing has picked up a little! We fished yeaterday out in the lake in standing timber in 12-20ft of water and kept about 40 in 3 hours. We used vibra-king tubes tipped with minnows! They would not touch it unless you had a minnow on it. The water was about 85 degrees. I hadve also heard they have been catching some fish around blocker bridge. But that depends on if the current is there or not. Good fishing!!

    Default Fishing Report!!!

We got out and fished Sunday evening! We fished from 1-6 and had 25 keepers. We were fishing black/chart. crappie pro fat bodies. We caught fish pretty much the entire time, there was lots of little ones. We fished laydowns, stumps, Standing timber, etc. The biggest fish was in 1.5ft of water on a little flat off the channel. The man that I took couldn't believe we could catch crappie that shallow in the middle of the summer with the water temps above 90 degrees. Good fishing! EB

Well made the run down to Eufaula today. Came home with 11, but caught around 40-45. If you are into catching and keeping 8"-9 1/2" crappie then you will enjoy the fishing right now on the lake. I personnally will only keep 10" and above fish. It was a blast holding two rods in each hand and catching them two at a time. It got funny for a little bit there. I would get a bite on one pole and set the hook on the other when nothing hit it.

I was using black/pink, pumpkin/chartreuse, pearl/pink beaver tails dipping standing timber. Fished from 6'-10" deep. Found the most productive color to be pearl/pink.

    Smile

Just came home from a week long vacation at Eufaula and the fishing was good all week , my wife and I pulled slabs from timber in Longtown creek using 1 1/2 black and pink beavertails at between 8 to 10 foot in 16' water tipped with minnows , also fished timber across from Arrowhead 10' to 12' using lime green and chart. and black and pink tipped . We fished our boat dock in the early part of the day with minnows and did fair 6' to 10 foot and the bridge at Longtown yealded fish at night with minnows , I guess you can tell there's one common thing , MINNOWS !!!!!
