Fished today and yes it was "cold" and windy. Fished from 10:30-2:30 and kept 15. Guided to great guys today Jerimiah Petricek and Dustin Statton. We double dipped beaver bottom baits with Todd Huckabee pro series rods. Way was 57-58 degrees. EB

Good to see that you got Todd out on the lake. He's a great guy!

not sure about it moving. I worked the boat into the wind all day. The Minn Kota Fortex got a workout as did my legs all day. Would gain 3' and be blown back 5'. Just have that little thought in the back of my pee brain how many we would of caught if it hadn't been for the trolling motor wash and it being set on 60-70 all day. I will say that extra 6" on the Huckabee Pro Staff Rod sure didn't hurt my feeling getting our baits out in front of the wash.......Ranger

I hear ya! I was bouncing up and down and was thinking, If I could only sit still for a second I could this lake a fair shake. I may be able to get out Tues and with 40 MPH forecast I am thinking about what creek I want to run up. Rock, Coal, Mill, maybe gains? It would be helpful to be able to launch in the creek and not have to motor over open water. LOL

I like to go back and look at the archives from the previous years.. They help remind me that I'm the one that is early not the fish

post from this day in 2015 "
Went to crowder/rock creek today. Wind was terrible and fishing was slow. Caught several but still not what I expected with 64 degree water. Big fish 1 10oz"

    Sounds kinda familiar.

Fished North end in the morning, was awful. It was cold and 2-3 inch vis, lots of people, nobody catching that I saw. Fished 40 to way up Gentry. Thought that it would pick up if I wanted to wait around til the water warmed up, which I didn't. Trailered down south to try some new areas, and it was good after a bit of snoopin around to find em. Glad I did. I needed place other than crowder. It was nice to have a cove full of fish tuning up to the spawn and not having another fisherman in sight. Fish 4- 8 feet deep and lots of fish on the graph cruising around at 6 foot deep. Name: 20160326_172359.jpg
