cpd21 is correct, I keyed on white because that's what I had good success last weekend on but Chartreuse works fantastic as well. Once you find them you won't have any problem catching them. Over the years we had good success throwing double jig rigs with plain old yellow 1/8oz marabou crappie jigs. I sure hope you and the kids catch a mess and have a great time.
Be safe and have fun guys!
Just another Oklahoma Crappie addict !

Thank you cpd21 for your info,,i have fished mostly the south end over the last years, looking to try the north end this summer. hope to find some deeper and clearer water if that is possible now![]()
Just got done fishing i40 bridge with my boy we had a blast caught a lot of small sandies some two at a time saw a pontoon tied up catching blue cats started warming up so we went to find a swimming hole
Outstanding guys I'm glad you had a good time. I fished Porum landing and the water had muddied up and dropped, but all in all it was not a great day I only caught about a dozen and they weren't as large as I caught them the weekend before. They had moved out to deeper water on the south side of the bridge and I didn't see them until I was headed out.
I did catch I did catch a few Crappie under the texans road bridge on 1/8 oz 2" black and chartreuse about 12 foot deep but they were slow and I got hot so headed home.

So just checking the Corps site, lake is 5.75 feet above normal still and they have kept the gates steady for awhile now. Any guess as to how much water they will keep around, even though I know 4 ft above normal is still a lot of water for Eufaula given its size, but hopefully they keep some of it in the flood pool for the rest of the summer months...
