Thanks for the report preach!
Woodworker when looking for Warner waterin the 60s the fish pattern better. Meaning they are easy to find when they're on the bank. The males on the big E makes best shallow (6inch-2ft). The females are out off the points on the breaklines. Use this rule: fish half the water depth. 8ft of water fish 4ff, 6ft deep fish 3.
Fished today with my girlfriend Junie, she had the big fish at 1.41a female bulging with eggs. We got on the water at 2:00 fished till 7:00. Had 9 keepers. Double dippin in 4-7ft fishing 2-4ft deep. Black and pink wastage color water vis was 3-4 inches, murkier than I like it but the fish did bite. EB
Thanks EB--I appreciate all the info. Maybe by next weekend things will have picked up a notch or 2! I'm watching the forecast with intense interest!
Double Dippin is a slow trolling technique. Rod in each hand rigged with 1 jig 2 jigs or minnow rig. We troll .3-.5mph hour along the banks, rip rap, points, breaklines etc. It's a version of spider rigging except you get to feel the bite. I typically use this technique when looking for fish bc it allows me to cover more water in a shorter amount of time bc you have less equipment than slider rigging moving from spot to spot. EB
